ValorSorter (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use our mobile application Valor Sorter or its associated features (including Valor Vault, Valor Supply, and Save Valor). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

2. Information We Collect

• Personal Information

We do not collect or require any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or contact details.

Apple processes all payments and account data independently through the App Store.

• Device Data and Preferences

The App stores your preferences, configurations, and profiles locally on your device (e.g., saved Valors, branch selection, display settings) using Apple’s secure iOS storage mechanisms such as UserDefaults and Keychain.

This information is not transmitted to our servers or to Firebase.

• Usage Data (via Firebase Analytics)

We collect aggregated, non-personally identifiable data to understand how users interact with ValorSorter and improve functionality. Examples include:

• Feature interactions (e.g., “Sort Valor,” “Save Valor,” “Expand Vault,” “Share Valor”)

• Rack configurations, branch selections, and layout settings

• Time spent in specific views such as Valor Vault, Valor Supply, and Add Profile

• Frequency of in-app events (e.g., creating or sharing a Valor)

This data is anonymized and not linked to any personal identity.

• Purchase Information (In-App Purchases)

When you make an in-app purchase (e.g., additional Valor Vault Lockers, Clean Export, or other Valor Supply products), Apple provides us limited transaction metadata such as:

• Product identifier (e.g., “com.valorsorter.cleanexport”)

• Purchase status and timestamp

• Country or region of purchase

We do not receive or store your credit card information, billing address, or Apple ID.

All transactions are processed securely by Apple.

• Peer-to-Peer Sharing (Nearby Share)

When using Nearby Share, ValorSorter uses Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity framework to make your chosen “Call Sign” discoverable to nearby devices.

Only the call sign and profile data you explicitly send are transmitted directly between devices over local Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.

No data from Nearby Share is sent to Firebase or ValorSorter servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To Improve the App: Aggregate analytics help us refine features and optimize app performance.

• To Process Purchases: Transaction metadata allows us to verify purchases and unlock paid features.

• To Troubleshoot & Diagnose: Crash and usage data help us detect bugs and measure stability.

• To Enhance User Experience: Locally stored preferences personalize your ribbon display and layout settings.

• No Selling or Third-Party Marketing: We do not sell, rent, or transfer user data for advertising or marketing purposes.

• Data Stays Local: Ribbon configurations, profiles, and user data remain on your device unless you choose to share them.

4. Data Storage and Security

• All Valor configurations and profile data are stored locally on your device.

• In-app purchase receipts are securely stored and verified through Apple’s system.

• Firebase data is anonymized before transmission and used only in aggregate form.

• If you delete the app or reset your device, your local data may be permanently lost.

We implement reasonable safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, but no digital system is entirely secure.

5. Third-Party Services

• Apple In-App Purchases

Apple handles all financial transactions and payment data.

Refer to Apple’s privacy policy for information about how your payment information is handled.

• Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage metrics that help us improve app performance and understand user engagement.

• Multipeer Connectivity

Used exclusively for peer-to-peer transfers. No information from these connections is transmitted to ValorSorter or Firebase.

6. Children’s Privacy

• ValorSorter is not intended for children under 4 years of age.

• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
  If we become aware of such data being collected, we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Choices

• Manage Local Data: Delete the app to erase all saved profiles and settings.

• Analytics Control: You can limit or disable analytics tracking through your device settings:
  Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable “Allow Apps to Request to Track.”

• Purchase Management: Purchases can be managed, restored, or refunded through Apple’s App Store account settings.

• Call Sign Control: You may edit or remove your Nearby Share call sign in the app’s settings at any time.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as new features are introduced (such as additional in-app purchases or analytics improvements).

Updates will be posted on this page with the new effective date.

We encourage users to review this policy periodically.
